You know you're wearing your laundry day outfit when the workmen outside your building avert their eyes when you walk by.
In other news, my friend Eric reports that he saw a woman get whistled at by a dude who was driving a school bus today. How great is that? Makes me want to go out and buy a cuter outfit.

That is great. A whistle is the tell-tale sign that a School Bus Driver is interested in a woman's mind. Time for Smash to burn some VISA at Barneys and attract some municipal worker cat-calls of her own!
ReplyDeleteHaterade!
ReplyDeleteThe difference between the whistling and the incident on my stoop is that cat-calls hardly ever make me feel like I'm about to be assaulted. Let's use our brains, Anonymous hater-types.
Also, I'm too broke to shop at Barney's. You're looking for Stephanie Klein, but she doesn't live here anymore.
I don't know what it is about Smash that brings out the haters. She seems like a nice enough person. S. Klein though I would run over with a bus.
ReplyDeleteI once got called "puta" by a 12-year old on laundry day at the laundromat. Now, I don't speak Spanish, but I know "whore" or "bitch" when I hear it... My outfit wasn't that bad.
ReplyDeletei like the new photo.
ReplyDeleteJust cut the sleeves and legs off whatever pj's or somesuch you're using for laundry day. That should raise an eyebrow or two.
ReplyDeleteAs for discount shopping in New York, may I suggest the internet? You can send your clothes off with the Scot right in those ebay boxes.
